Russia should use all its means in the Mideastern settlement, Lebanese Ambassador to Russia Boutros Asaker told RIA Novosti on the eve of the National Day of Lebanon on Wednesday. According to him, putting pressure on the countries which are not fulfiling the UN resolutions to establish peace in the region can be one of the practical measures. During his recent visit to Russia Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq al-Hariri pointed out that Moscow and Lebanon hold similar attitudes to the Mideastern settlement, particularly, on the foundation of a Palestinian state in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council, Asaker said. Speaking about combating international terrorism, the Ambassador said, "We discussed terrorism in all its forms and we have similar standpoints on this problem." In his opinion, it is necessary to fight both the organisers and executors of terrorist acts on a global scale.
