Russia should take interests of the states party to the Euroasian Economic Community (EURASEC) - Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia and Tajikistan - into account while joining the World Trade Organisation (WTO). This is the opinion of Nigmatzhan Isingarin, deputy secretary general of the organisation, which he expressed Wednesday. According to him, the sooner Russia enters the WTO, the closer coordination of negotiating stances of the five states will be. Isingarin reported that the integration committee, EURASEC working body, is currently preparing proposals on the issue to protect the community countries against negative consequences related to entry into the WTO. Answering the question on Kirghizia's joining the WTO Isingarin said that as a result "we do not witness any damage to the economy of other countries of the community." The treaty on EURASEC foundation was signed October 10, 2000 in Astana by presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia and Tajikistan. The organisation's objective is to efficiently contribute to formation of the Customs Union and a single economic space.
