Sudanese defence minister hands Russia's defense minister a message from Sudanese president for president of Russia

The national defence minister of Sudan Major-General Bakri Hassan Salih handed the Russian defence minister Sergey Ivanov a message from the Sudanese president for the Russian president Vladimir Putin. On Monday Sergey Ivanov received his Sudanese counterpart, who had arrived in Russia with an official visit and discussed "a wide range of issues of mutual interest" with him. Ivanov said the Sudanese minister had not come to Moscow for a long time. Nevertheless, the cooperation between the Ministries of Defense has always had good traditions, he stressed. The Minister said in the framework of the program the Sudanese delegation would visit defence industry enterprises in order to study opportunities for military and technical cooperation. Sergey Ivanov hopes that the relationship between the two ministries will develop "in a predictable and progressive way and in the interests of both countries."
