Days Of Russian Language In Germany Open In Berlin

The Days of the Russian Language in Germany opened in Berlin Monday under the motto "Mutual Learning of Languages and Cultures: the Dialogue in the Name of Progress." They are being held within the framework of the International Year of Languages announced by the Council of Europe. The Russian Centre of international and cultural cooperation is the sponsor of the Days of the Russian Language in Germany with the assistance of the Gumboldt University, the University of Potsdam and the German Association of teachers and friends of the Russian language. The programme of the Days to last till October 25 includes the seminar on the problems of teaching and learning of the Russian language in Germany and the German language in Russia and the working meetings in the Russian language centres of the Gumboldt and Potsdam universities.
