Putin Praises Efforts Of Russian Delegates To PACE

Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the efforts of the Russian delegates to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. "Despite complicated conditions, the Russian legislators have managed to convincingly vindicate Russia's stance and to get it across to the European public," said President Putin as he spoke to members of the Federal Assembly's foreign committees in the Kremlin Thursday. According to Putin, the Russian delegates to the PACE can take a considerable part of the credit for Europe's present perception of Russia "as a reliable ally." The President also pointed out that parliamentary activity has by now become an integral part of Russia's interaction with foreign countries and international organizations.
