Duma Speaker For Increased UN Role In Afghan Settlement

Russia's State Duma speaker Gennady Seleznyov has come out for strengthening the UN role in the Afghan settlement. According to the press service of the lower house, after meeting President of the Grand National Party of South Korea Yl Hoe-chang, Gennady Seleznyov said that Russia would like Afghanistan to have a coalition government and to see that peace is introduced under the UN aegis. At the same time, the Duma speaker pointed to the need to form such a power in Afghanistan which would not stand training camps for terrorists and laboratories for growing viruses.
