President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, during a telephone conversation with US Vice President Joe Biden, thanked the USA for solidarity with Ukraine regarding the introduction of additional sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Poroshenko wrote on his Twitter that "during a conversation with Biden, I thanked the United States for solidarity with Ukraine's position regarding the introduction of additional sanctions."
In addition, during the conversation, Poroshenko and Biden discussed the coordination of actions to provide a package of financial assistance from the US, EU and international financial organizations to Ukraine to provide a solid foundation for rapid and effective steps for the implementation of reforms, TASS reports referring to the press service of the Ukrainian president.
Poroshenko and Biden agreed to continue coordinating actions to implement a peace plan to resolve the situation in the Donbass.
