Moscow and Paris have declared a common approach to settling the Iranian nuclear issue. A phone conversation was held on Thursday between foreign ministers Igor Ivanov of Russia and Dominique de Villepin of France, the information and press department of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
The French minister spoke of outcomes of negotiations in Teheran between the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, Germany and France on interaction between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the Iranian nuclear program.
Both Russian and French foreign ministers voiced satisfaction over Teheran's declaration of readiness to sign an additional protocol to the safeguards agreement with the IAEA, provide it with full information on the nuclear program and suspend uranium-enrichment work.
