Foreign ministers of SCO states hope to achieve peaceful settlement of the Iraqi problem

The joint communique signed on Saturday in Moscow by foreign ministers of SCO states says that that foreign ministers of countries-members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO consists of China, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) were hopeful that resolution 1441 of the UN Security Council would allow to peacefully settle the Iraqi problem.

The ministers expressed hope that the UN Security Council's resolution on Iraq "and resumption of activity of international inspectors in Iraq would permit to peacefully settle the Iraqi problem with observance of all international regulations." The Communique points out that the ministers also supported "international efforts, collective and individual, aimed at facilitation of search of ways to establish peace and stability in the Middle East, unconditional implementation by both sides of the conflict of known UN Security Council's resolutions."
