Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov will hold talks with his Czech counterpart Jan Kavan today in Moscow. The Czech embassy in Moscow told RIA Novosti that the sides will focus their attention on coordinating the plan of consultations to be held between the two foreign policy departments.
They will also discuss issues pertaining to simplifying the visa regime, in particular, for those who have diplomatic passports, and the plans of Russian-Czech contacts at the high level.
In particular, the ministers will touch upon questions of preparing the reply visit of Czech prime minister Milos Zeman to Moscow. Russian prime minister Mikhail Kasyanov visited Prague last autumn.
The heads of the foreign policy departments will also discuss questions connected with the invitation by Czech president Vaclav Havel to Russian president Vladimir Putin to visit Prague during the NATO summit scheduled for November this year.
