Russian sailing vessel Nadezhda completes its world cruise

The Russian training sailing frigate Nadezhda, which is making its world cruise, arrives in Hong Kong on Tuesday.

Last week the sailing vessel crossed the longitude of Vladivostok, having thus done a full revolution round the Earth.

The Nadezhda vessel of the Maritime University of Vladivostok set out for a world cruise on January 25, 2003.

This cruise is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the first world cruise by Russian sailors under the command of Ivan Krusenstern and Yury Lisyansky on the Nadezhda and Neva ships.

This cruise by the sailing vessel Nadezhda practically coincides with that historically famous world cruise.
