Belarus to use drones to protect its border

Belarusian border guards will use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to control the state border, the Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus, Alexander Boechko said Friday.

According to Boechko, the decision was taken by the board of the Unified State, he said at a press conference in Minsk. A work group for the implementation of the project already operates.

Most likely, Belarus will use the drones of domestic production to exclude any possible external influence on aircraft. The supervised length of the Belarusian border makes up 3,617 kilometers.
