Three arrested over child pornography deal in Czech republic

Czech police have arrested three men suspected of producing child pornography and sexually abusing underage girls, an official said Wednesday.

The two foreigners and one Czech allegedly produced pornographic material of girls aged 8-15 and sexually abused them, police spokesman Jiri Vokus said in a statement. He did not reveal the nationality of the foreigners.

The arrests occurred over the weekend in Pelhrimov, 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast of Prague.

Vokus said the three used a modeling agency to lure the girls into a leased recreation center in Pelhrimov where they photographed them in "sexually provocative positions."

The pictures were then placed on a Web site run by a company based in Germany and owned by one of the suspects, authorities said.

The three, who also allegedly supplied alcohol to the girls, could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
