Russian Combat Vessel Arrives In Greece

On Wednesday morning, a large ship of the Russian Black Sea fleet, the Tsezar Kunikov, arrived in the Greek port of Spetsai for a visit, Igor Dygalo, aide to the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, reported. The Russian ship's agenda in the Greek port includes compulsory protocol events and a large cultural program. The Tsezar Kunikov is due to complete its visit in the afternoon of October 27. On October 18-23, the Tsezar Kunikov made an unofficial visit to the Greek port of Pilos to attend events marking the 174th anniversary of the Navarino sea battle. In that historical battle the Russo-English-French fleet defeated the Turkish-Egyptian fleet thus contributing to the victory of the Greek national liberation revolution.
