A group of Al-Qaida terrorists arrested by Pakistani servicemen at the attempt to cross the Afghan-Pakistani border escaped on Wednesday. Most of them were captured but 8 terrorists are still being searched, the Pakistani English-language newspaper Doon said. On December 19 156 Al-Qaida terrorists were escorted from Paracinar prison to Peshawar in two lorries and three buses. Near the village of Arawali /190 kilometres to the west of Peshawar/ 48 terrorists managed to disarm guards in one of the buses and escaped. As is known, local volunteer recruits who guarded the terrorists failed to overpower well-trained Arab mercenaries. According to the servicemen, the area of the terrorists' search is blockaded and they will be discovered soon. Military helicopters are also involved in the operation.
