According to Some Data, North Korea is Preparing to Test its Own Nuclear Weapons

North Korea intends to make "maxim efforts to strengthen its military might in order to ensure a containing force for rebuffing any weapons and aggression." This is said in the editorial of the North Korean central newspaper Rodong Sinmun, that was published on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Korean People's Army which is marked on Friday, April 25.

This assertion of the organ of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea has aroused a heightened interest against the background of the tripartite negotiations of North Korea, the United States and China on the nuclear problem in Beijing.

According to not yet confirmed data, at these negotiations Pyongyang admitted that it had nuclear weapons and promised to test them.
