Saudi King to hold economic talks with Poland

Saudi Arabia ’s King Abdullah arrives to Poland Monday to hold talks on economic ties and fighting organized crime.

King Abdullah is to meet with President Lech Kaczynski, his twin brother, Prime Minster Jaroslaw Kaczynski, Economy Minister Piotr Wozniak and Science Minister Michal Sewerynski.

The king planned to sign bilateral agreements on cooperating in fighting organized crime linked to the document and money forging, as well as to the smuggling of humans, drugs and weapons.

Abdullah gained widespread popularity in Poland after he funded an operation in 2005 to separate Polish conjoined twins Daria and Olga Kolacz, which was performed by a team of 50 Saudi surgeons and nurses in Riyadh.

On Tuesday, the king planned to meet the twin girls, who were born in 2003 joined at the spine, intestines, urinary systems and sexual organs.

The girls are still in rehabilitation to help them learn to walk without assistance, but doctors have said their progress after the operation has been going well and they have good chances to live normal lives.
