At a press conference on Monday the Iranian Foreign Ministry's official spokesman Hamid-Reza Assefi denounced the US propagandistic actions against Iran and called them interference into the Islamic Republic's interior affairs.
"Tehran and the world community believe such obvious interference into interior affairs are contrary to the norms of international relations and highly unacceptable," Mr. Assefi stated.
Mr. Assefi also denied statements of some White House representatives about ties between the Islamic republic and Al-Qaeda and confirmed the Iranian government's intentions to continue combating this terrorist organisation.
"All individuals suspected of any connection with Al-Qaeda in Iran will be detained and deported from the country," the Iranian Foreign Ministry's official spokesman stated.
