Hamburg police detain three Chechens after terror search

Police in the northern German city of Hamburg have detained three Chechen men in connection with a search for terror suspects.

The three men were aged between 21 and 25, said Reinhard Chedor, the head of Hamburg's state criminal office. Two turned themselves in after police said a witness overheard a suspicious conversation about "heroism before Allah" at a bus stop, Chedor said, adding that there appeared to be no plans for an attack.
