Moscow Hosts Russian-Italian Consultations On Fighting Terrorism

Issues of intensifying international efforts to fight terrorism were the focus of the meeting between Vyacheslav Trubnikov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, and Gianfranco Facco Bonetti, the new Italian Ambassador to Russia. According to the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the officials also discussed several burning issues of international policy. On the Ambassador's request, Trubnikov informed him about the present situation with multilateral cooperation in the CIS (the Commonwealth of Independent States.) In addition, the sides discussed certain issues of bilateral cooperation. The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the sides had noted "the high level of efficiency of Russo-Italian partnership."
