On Tuesday the Yemeni government announced recognition of the Afghan interim government and the resumption of diplomatic relations with Kabul. Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qurbi said that Yemen was satisfied with the establishment of the Afghan interim government and was ready to support its efforts in consolidating national unity, security and stability and on the country's revival. Sanaa intends to open the Yemeni diplomatic mission in Kabul and to develop bilateral relations with Afghanistan, the Minister added.
