Russian border-guarding detachments detected no cases of violation of the Georgian airspace by Russian aircraft, Chief of Russia's Federal Border Guard Service Konstantin Totski announced in response to Tbilisi's accusations. The Georgian side previously accused Russian aviation of intruding into the Georgian airspace and bombarding the Pankisi gorge, adjacent to Chechnya. The Russian General explained that Georgian spokesmen informed the Council of CIS frontier troops commanders held in Moscow Thursday of this accident. However, this problem was not brought up at the discussion, the General said.
