The United States will not be placing military bases either in Azerbaidjan or in the South Caucasus region in general, according to deputy commander of US European forces, Charles Wald.
As reported by a Rosbalt correspondent, Wald told a press conference in Yerevan that 'we will, together with Russia, Armenia and Azerbaidjan, fight terrorism, and are ready for ongoing cooperation. At the same time, we do not want to have permanent military bases here.'
