Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov has announced that Moscow is ready to cooperate with Cyprus in countering terrorism. Russia is ready "to exchange information on international terrorism, militant separatism and other fresh threats," the Russian Defence Minister said before the talks with his Cypriote counterpart Socratis Hasikos on Tuesday. These threats are new for many other countries but Russia and Cyprus "are very familiar with them," the minister added. Russia has always helped Cyprus, for instance, in strengthening its defence, the Cypriote Defence Minister said. According to him, the Cypriote authorities and people are much interested in cooperation with Russia. The minister stressed that a large delegation of the Cypriote Defence Ministry, comprised of 20 officials, had arrived in Moscow this time.
