Gas Explosion In Apartment House In Rome Claims Lives Of Three Firemen

The death toll of the Tuesday gas explosion in an apartment house in Rome is increasing. According to the latest data, three firemen died, 30 people have been rushed to hospitals with various wounds. Two of them are in a serious condition. Notwithstanding the raging fire, searches for the people who might be under the debris are in full swing. Firemen have found two of their colleagues who managed to survive when the building collapsed. The power of the explosion in Monte Sacro was enough to make the cars parked near the house, fly up. The first version was that the explosion had been caused by a bomb. Claudio Scajola, the Italian Interior Minister, who arrived at the scene, denied this version. According to him, the cause of the explosion in the 7-store building was a gas leak.
