Most Palestinians For Resuming Peace Talks With Israel

A majority of Palestinians support ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli confrontation and comes out in favour of resuming talks between the sides for the purpose of the political settlement. This is said in an opinion poll published Thursday by Palestine Centre of Political Research. According to the poll, 60 percent of the polled Palestinians support the ceasefire declared by Yasser Arafat last December, and 71 percent spoke in favour of returning to the negotiating table with Israel.
