U.N. inspectors in Iraq visit plant and vaccine-producing laboratory

United Nations' inspectors started off their second day in Iraq by visiting a state laboratory that produces vaccines for livestock in the district of Dora, southern part of Baghdad, and the Nasr ("Victory") plant north of Baghdad.

Just like yesterday, both groups of inspectors were accompanied by representatives of Iraq's UN program for inspection of arms. They were admitted to the premises of both enterprises immediately upon their arrival.

Yesterday, the experts inspected three Iraqi enterprises - a missile plant and graphite factory in Ameria, 120 kilometres west of Baghdad, and the military enterprise al-Tahadi, 30 kilometres north of the Iraqi capital.

The experts were "satisfied with the level of cooperation with the Iraqi authorities in the first day of work in Iraq" and said they hoped this level would continue into the future.
