Burdzhanadze opposes eased Russian visas for Adzharia

'Under no circumstances will we allow there to be differential visa requirements on Georgian territory vis-а-vis Russia,' Acting Georgian President Nino Burdzhanadze asserted to journalists Thursday. 'The use of visas should be dropped; if it is not, it should be the same for all of Georgia. This applies to Abkhazia, Southern Ossetia and, even more, to Adzharia,' she stressed.

It may be recalled that Aslan Abashidze, the head of Adzharia, is conducting talks in Moscow with the leadership of Russia on introducing a relaxed visa regime for Adzharia.
