The meeting of presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan continues in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. On Friday, the Central Asian countries' leaders will discuss the state of and prospects for the multilateral cooperation. RIA Novosti was told in the Uzbek foreign ministry that participants in the meeting will focus their attention on "threats coming from international terrorism". It is planned to adopt a joint statement on the results of the talks, in which the heads of four states will confirm their course towards "mutually advantageous cooperation in all spheres." Foreign minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrisov told a press conference in Astana on December 27th that the meeting of the heads of Central Asian states "does not have a rigid agenda, and the conversation is going on in the regime of a political dialogue" in two major directions -- regional stability and regional economic cooperation. According to him, the questions of interaction "in the sphere of power engineering, transport and water deliveries are expected to be discussed at the summit.
