Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov is to meet Monday UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian affairs - humanitarian aid coordinator Kenzo Oshima, the main aim of whose visit is discussion of the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan after the beginning of the US military operation. Oshima also intends to discuss in the Russian capital issues of granting humanitarian aid to the population of that country and other states of the Central Asian region, reported the UN humanitarian aid coordination department. Russia, for itself, has already sent about 200 tons of humanitarian cargos for Afghans, including 75.5 tons of food. Over 70 cars with humanitarian cargos will soon be sent from Russia to Tajikistan by railway.
