Russian Borderguards In Tajikistan Report Powerful Explosions Near Taliban Strong Points

On Sunday, Russian border guards, serving on the Tajik border, stated a series of powerful explosions on Afghan territory near the strong points of the Taliban movement. The press service of the Russian Federal Frontier Service border group in Tajikistan reported that the noise of jets' engines had been heard in the region before the explosions. The border guards of the Russian frontier detachments do not have data on the scale of destruction and losses among the Taliban. The press service also reported that on Sunday, at the section of the Porshnev border station of the Khorog frontier detachment, nine Afghan citizens were detained for transgressing the state border of Tajikistan. Investigation of the incident is underway.
