Great Britain will do its best to help Russia join the WTO, British Premier Tony Blair stated at the Russia-EU summit.
"We must and, I believe, we will do our best to help Russia join the Organisation, which is vital for both Russia and all EU member-states," he said.
Tony Blair also expressed interest in establishing closer trade relations between Russia and Europe. "For example, energy relations intensify integration between Russia and the EU and, I believe, if we see the vast potential of these relations we will be able to take greater efforts in respect to the WTO. If the process is a success, we all will greatly profit from the situation," he stated.
