According to Fayaz Khan, the head of the local administration, some of the Taliban had arrived from Pakistan. Among those killed was a field commander called Abdullah, who used to head a group of 50 Taliban hiding in the Tang Mountains. The government troops seized a large quantity of automatic weapons and missiles, reported Khan, adding that the search for Taliban was still in process.
