On Wednesday London will host the opening of the fourth International CIS summit.
According to the summit's organisational committee, among the forum participants there will be representatives from the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Union of Russian Oil Exporters, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development, the Russian-British Interparliamentary Committee, the British Industry Confederation, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank and the World Trade Organisation.
The business summit was organised by the Association of leading business initiatives based in London.
The organisational committee specified that the main focus of the forum would be the consideration of the role of Russia and the CIS member-states in the expected boom of the world economy in 2004. In the light of the economic boom in developed countries predicted by international economists the summit participants will discuss a possibility of increased interest of strategic and private foreign investors to the CIS markets.
