Danone delists its American Depositary Receipts

The food producer, Groupe Danone SA, whose brands include Evian bottled water and Dannon yogurt, plans to delist its American Depositary Receipts from the New York Stock Exchange.

The company said in a statement that the amount of trade in the securities no longer justifies the cost, and the delisting should occur in July.

"This decision has no impact on Groupe Danone's continued focus to actively develop its business operations in the United States," the company said.

Danone's primary trading is in Paris on the Euronext exchange, where they fell 1.2 percent to 119.95 EUR (US$163.64) on Thursday.
