White House spokesman: terrorists are guilty of hostages' death in Moscow

Terrorists are fully to blame for the death of hostages in the Theatre Centre in Dubrovka, Moscow, official spokesman for the White House Ari Fleischer told journalists on Sunday. He accompanied the US president on his way from Mexico to the United States.

Fleischer stressed that the terrorists' aim was to kill hostages and they already began shooting them. He also stated that the Theatre was mined and all the hostages could die.

The Russian government and the Russian people are victims of this tragedy, he said. The terrorists who seized hostages mined the building and created emergency circumstances are to blame for this tragedy.
