The annual US-Russian Investment Forum is due to be held in Boston on November 14-16. According to its organisers, over its six-year existence the symposium has become one of the most prominent and influential international forums held in the West and devoted to Russia's political and economic development.
The upcoming forum will be attended by more than 500 top officials and managers from Russia, the U.S. and other countries. The symposium will focus on the current investment climate in Russia and the new possibilities for foreign investment in its economy.
According to the forum's organisers, among its most crucial themes is Russia's joining the WTO, the bank reform, investment appeal of Russian regions and development of businesses in Russia.
So far the participation in the symposium has been confirmed by Russian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Herman Gref, US Commerce Secretary Donald Evans, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Bank Tatyana Paramonova, Deputy Minister of Energy Vladimir Milov, Deputy Board Chairman of Russia's Unified Energy Systems Sergei Dubinin.
Heads of such Russian regions as the Maritime Territory, Perm Region, Evenkia have also confirmed their participation in the forum.
