Albanian Terrorists Take Hostages Killing Three Policemen, In Macedonia

Albanian terrorists have taken 56 hostages killing three policemen in the nearby Tetovo in Macedonia, Ljube Boskovski, the Macedonian Interior Minister, was quoted as saying on Monday. The responsibility for the hostage-taking was claimed by the Albanian National Army, which called on Albanians to "take up arms again because Macedonian authorities do not fulfil the conditions of the peace agreement." All the hostages have been released thanks to the interference of NATO and OSCE representatives. The situation around Tetovo is currently stable. The area is under the control of the security force and OSCE observers. Local observers link the incident to the recent arrest of seven people. The police discovered a large array of arms in their possession. According to the Macedonian media, three of the detainees were commanders of the officially disbanded National Liberation Army, the rest were their associates.
