Suspect involved in Kaspiisk terrorist act detained in Tula

A native of Azerbaijan suspected of involvement the terrorist act in Kaspiisk, Dagestan (a republic neighboring on Chechnya), has been detained in Tula, the Central federal district, as RIA Novosti learned on Monday at the Tula region's Department for the interior affairs.

The suspect with a previous conviction was detained during a joint operation by the Central Organised Crime Department of Russia and of Dagestan, and the Department of the Federal Security Service of the Tula region.

A week ago, on June 24th, Russia's Deputy Prosecutor General Vladimir Kolesnikov said in Dagestan's capital Makhachkala that the May 9th terrorist act in Kaspiisk that claimed 43 lives, had been fully solved, its masterminds and perpetrators found. The investigation has established 18 members of the subversive terrorist group. Eight criminals directly involved in the terrorist act have been arrested, the other 10 are wanted.
