The contractor of the murder of the first secretary of the Chinese embassy was detained in Kyrgyzstan, RIA Novosti learned from a source in the republic's Interior Ministry. The Interior Ministry officers are currently looking for the executors of the murder.
Wang Jianpin, First Secretary of the Chinese embassy to Kyrgyzstan, was shot dead in Bishkek on June 29.
According to the republican Interior Ministry, the man was murdered late Saturday evening at the crossing of two busy street in downtown Bishkek. Unidentified criminals fired point-blank at the Mercedes car carrying the diplomat and his driver.
Both the driver and passenger died on the spot.
RIA Novosti learned that the law-enforcement bodies do not rule out the complicity of Uygur separatists in the double murder. Other versions of the tragedy are being examined.
