Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze has given a positive appraisal of the results of his Moscow meeting with Vladimir Putin on December 1 in his interview to the National Radio. "Our 1.5-hour conversation was sincere, friendly and necessary," Shevardnadze said supposing that "this meeting might become a turning point in Russian-Georgian relations". The two presidents discussed almost all aspects of mutual interest, including the Abkhaz settlement, Shevardnadze added.
