Two men suspected of murdering Chinese diplomat detained in Kyrgyzstan

Two men suspected of murdering Wang Teng Ping, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in Kirghizia, were detained in Kirghizia, said Bakirdin Subanbekov, Interior Minister of Kirghizia, at a briefing on Thursday.

According to the minister, both detained men, Uigurs by nationality, turned out to be members of international terrorist organizations. The first one, born in 1970, held a passport of a citizen of Kirghizia written out for the name of Mamatkerim Kudayarov. However, on the international wanted list he is known under the names of Yakut Yerkin and Guzelo Ramazan. A native of the Xinjiang Uigur Autonomous Region of China, he was an active participant in the "Free Turkestan" separatist organization. The second man, known by the names of Mustafa Kara, Rakhmatullo Silai, Abduvali Emin was born in Turkey, was on the international wanted list for murders committed on the territory of China. It is known that in 1999 the murderer went through a course of training in the terrorist centre in Chechnya, then before the launching of the counter-terror operation, hid on the territory of Afghanistan. At the end of 2001 he moved to CIS.

The law-enforcement bodies of Kirghizia have already sent an enquiry to Interpol requesting it for all the information available on the detained men.

But there is still fear in them, not so hidden either...
