Defence Ministry Of Georgia Refutes Reports On Bombings Of Kodori Gorge

The Defence Ministry of Georgia refutes the allegations which appeared in media outlets on bombings of the Kodori Gorge. According to the Georgian Defence Minister, such incidents have not been registered. The communique circulated on Monday by the press centre of Georgia's defence department says that at present on the part of the territory of the Kodori Gorge which is controlled by the country's central authorities the regular units of the Georgian Defence Ministry continue to serve in a regime of high alert. In case of need, the Defence Ministry forces in the Kodori Gorge will be reinforced by new units.
