Nato-Ukraine scandal around Kiev's selling "Kolchuga" radar systems to Iraq is continuing

The United States still refrains from announcing the date of sending Kiev conclusions made by American and British experts who studied the issue of Ukraine's possible sale of "Kolchuga" radar systems to Iraq, Head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service Sergei Borodenkov said at a briefing in Kiev, Tuesday.

Earlier US ambassador to Ukraine Carlos Pascual sated that the conclusions should have been given to the Ukrainian side at the end of October. In this context Sergei Borodenkov pointed out that for some unknown reason this date had been postponed for an indefinite period of time.

The diplomat also stated that Kiev was ready to continue cooperation with western countries in the future "in order to carry this "Kolchuga" business to its logical conclusion".

American and British experts were studying Ukraine's possible deliveries of "Kolchuga" systems to Iraq in the middle of October. They visited the "Topaz" plant in Donetsk producing "Kolchuga" systems and a number of military units, armed with radar systems.

However, judging by the international boycott imposed on Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma western countries have already taken their decisions.
