Un To Support Stabilization In Tajikistan

Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Trubnikov and UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy in Tajikistan Ivo Petrov met on Monday. They stressed the importance of further international support for the restoration of Tajik social and economic infrastructure. Trubnikov and Petrov came out for "further UN practical participation in the stabilization of social and political situation and the economic development in this country", the press and information department of the Russian Foreign Ministry said. The Russian side confirmed its readiness to cooperate with the UN department in Tajikistan, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
