Moscow, Tashkent Cherish Common Values Of International Politics, Russian Foreign Minister

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, currently visiting Uzbekistan, is positive Moscow and Tashkent cherish the same values as shaping international politics. The Russian minister said this Wednesday when summing up his meeting with President Islam Karimov of Uzbekistan. Russia and Uzbekistan, he said, see eye to eye on the global anti-terrorist struggle and post-conflict settlement in Afghanistan. President Islam Karimov and Igor Ivanov had a detailed discussion of the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and a range of international problems of current importance. "Our countries have every chance to maintain a wide, all-round cooperation," said Mr Ivanov. Also on Wednesday, Igor Ivanov and Abdulaziz Kamilov, the host country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed a programme of cooperation between the two foreign ministries. Moscow is pleased with the way the two countries coordinate their actions in the international arena, according to Mr Ivanov. "We will keep coordinating our efforts proceeding from the fact that we cherish the same values as shaping international politics and resolving problems we are facing," said Igor Ivanov.
