Russian Security Council Secretary Vladimir Rushailo will take off Monday to Kirghizia to attend the fifth session of the Collective Security Treaty parties' security council secretaries' committee, due in Bishkek on December 10-11.
The press service of the Russian Security Council reported that the sessopn would focus on international and regional security problems, including the situation around Iraq.
According to the Council's spokesman, the committee will discuss the implementation of the decisions adopted at the Moscow session of the Collective Security Council in May 2002, related to the development of the military component of the Treaty and giving it the status of an international regional organisation.
The meeting will also consider "issues of cooperation in the fight against international terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, organised trans-national crime and others dealing with national security interests of the countries party to the Treaty.
The Collective Security Treaty includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Tajikistan and Armenia.
