Azeri President Geidar Aliyev To Visit Russia In January 2002

Azeri President Geidar Aliyev will visit Russia in January 2002. This information was disclosed by Vyacheslav Trubnikov, the Russian First Deputy Foreign Minister. During a press conference in RIA Novosti, Trubnikov emphasised that the Azeri President would "definitely" visit Russia, although the exact date remained as yet unclear. "The timeframe is still being coordinated," he added. The visit of the Azeri President was previously planned for late 2001.
