Putin On Development Of Russian-ukrainian Economic Ties

Russian President Vladimir Putin has noted "quality changes" of the Russian-Ukrainian relations. The Russian President emphasized, while speaking at a press-conference that the two countries "had started to co-ordinate their policies in a more efficient manner", and that their relations were based on mutual interests. As for particular projects, Putin re-affirmed that the energy sphere remained the basis of economic cooperation. He expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Rada deputies for the recent ratification of corresponding agreements. According to the president, other mutually advantageous fields of cooperation are high technologies, machine and aircraft building.
