Passenger bus falls into abyss in Daghestan

A passenger bus has fallen into an abyss in Daghestan, killing 5 people and wounding 33.

The accident happened on Wednesday morning on a mountain road, the press service of the republic's interior ministry said.

9 km before the regional centre of Sergokal, the bus fell into an abyss from a 20-metre height.

According to the police data, 5 people were killed. 33 were wounded and taken to hospital. 10 of them are in a grave state.

The investigative teams are working on the scene of the accident.

So far experts have not given conclusions on the cause of the accident, the ministry said.
